August Real Estate Statistics

In Lake Travis ISD, UNITS SOLD were up 6% in August, compared to last August. This is encouraging as July's UNITS SOLD were down a whopping 10% compared to last July. December 2012 Real Estate Statistics

December real estate statistics are out and they are very exciting for Austin.  In December 2012, residential unit sales were up 16% compared to December 2011.   In Lake Travis ISD area, residential unit sales were up 24% compared to last December.

Alamo Title reports the following on January 7th:

Units for Sale: (compared to the same week in 2012)

For December 30, 2012 - January 5, 2013

New listings are down this week 24.85%.

Pendings are down this week 11.52%
Solds are up 48.53% 
 

As for Average Prices:  (compared to the same week in 2012) 

For December 30, 2012 - January 5, 2013

Sold average sales prices increased 1.12% to $271,466 from $268,446 in 2012. 

Current pendings = 2,722 pendings with an average list price of $255,927.  That is a 31.31% increase in the number of pending listings and a 8.30% increase over the average price of pendings over the same week in 2012(2,073 & $236,311).

October Real Estate Statistics for Austin

October Real Estate Statistics have been published by Gracy Title this month.  The numbers are looking great and I don't recall seeing them this good!

Gracy Title reports that in October 2012, residential sales are up 27.9% compared to last October (2011).  In Lake South (MLS LS), residential sales are up 37.5% compared to last October. 

 

As for my market center, Keller Williams Lake Travis, our staff also reported that our closed sales in October were record breaking!  This is absolutely great news for our economy!
